Both singers/actress have landed gigs at the same event! Both girls will be ringing in 2012 in style at NYE in NYC 2012 for MTV. Selena is slated to be one of the performers at the event and Demi has just landed a gig co-hosting the special with the Teen Wolf hottie Tyler Posey. Demi mentioned that she was fairly excited to be ringing in the new year in Times Square with MTV and the ability to take the stage and share it with amazing musicians. The special will also feature appearances from Vanessa Marano and Katie Leclerc of “Switched at Birth.” The night’s ultimate dance party will be beamed out from MTV’s Times Square studio. MTV is also preparing the NYE in NYC 2012 page by looking back on past photos, special moments, performances and highlights.
For the first time ever stafeers from MTV News, MTV.com and MTV Music & Talent will be collaborating on three different year-end lists. Beginning Monday (December 12), from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET, during MTV’s morning music hours, editors will take part in a spirited debate, where they will reveal their collective choices for Best EDM Artists of the Year.
